Today, we introduce v4 of Scan and Pin fingerprint software. Including some fantastic updates to speed fingerprint searching, v4 now allows auto selection of input window, PIN number entry and cached data support. v4 is available for download today.
Scan and Pin v3.0 released for new customers. There is no requirement for existing users to upgrade unless you wish to empty your user database. V3.0 contains a new database format and is not backward compatible. Last stable version was v2.8 (download here).
It is recommended that you back up your database to another location before installing an update. The database file can be found in the c:\program files\Scan and Pin\database\ directory (for 32 bit OS) or c:\program files (x86)\Scan and Pin\database\ (for 64 bit OS). Normal updating of software will not update the database. An update will overwrite all files including the default database.
Version 3 of the Scan & Pin website has been launched today. New features include easier navigation and a new product support area.
Version 2.40 of Scan & Pin Fingerprint Engine released today.
Version 2.30 of Scan & Pin Fingerprint Engine released today. Update released including bug fixes and updates to allow for online activation. Windows Vista compatible (tested on all versions except x64).
